Daily Devo:
Do you hear God’s voice in your life?

There are a lot of voices to be heard every single day. From chatter in the workplace to interactions with friends and loved ones, there are a lot of people that we have the opportunity to speak to on a daily basis. But what about the voice of God? What has He has spoken to you today? What have you learned from Him? How did you know to stop and listen?

If you do not know how to answer these questions, that’s okay. Make it a point in your daily life to ask the Lord to increase your ability to listen to His voice in your daily life. Ask Him to help you be in tune with what He has to say more than you’re in tune with anyone else.

It’s so important to hold onto this because there WILL be other voices that try to influence your life and your decisions. There will be people that mean well, but offer you not-so-good advice, and there will be people who pretend to have your best interests, but deep down inside, they really don’t. Even when it comes to the people we’re the closest to, there is no 100% guarantee that they will have all of the answers you need. There is nothing wrong with seeking biblical wisdom, but ultimate truth comes from God! His Word over your life stands above what others say.

Hold onto this when:

1. You can’t help but wonder what other people’s opinions are of you
2. One person is recommending you take a certain career path while someone else is recommending you do something else
3. People are giving you advice but you’re not sure what God wants you to do
4. You don’t want to live for the approval of others, but you don’t want to be rejected either

When you’re dealing with these kind of things, don’t let it way you down because you can’t decide who to listen to. God is the One you must go to first, and always. Talk to Him daily, ask Him questions, and listen to what HE has to say.

Did you know that God created you as an individual with a divine purpose and plan? What has God entrusted you with? Do you find yourselves comparing yourself with others?

As women we sometimes find ourselves comparing our unique self with others. However, we are not in competition. We are designed by God as an individual.

When we step out in what He wants us to do, our world expands. There is an amazing world out there that needs what you have to give. There is someone who is waiting for you to share your gift, which will help them to release their gift. So what are you passionate about? What do you love doing?

We all have different gifts and talents and God is so excited when we step out, find and use those gifts that He has given us.

I don’t know where you are today in your journey but be encouraged find a place where you can have some quiet time with God. What is His still, quiet voice saying to you at this time?

Ask Him what he wants you to do. He will let you know. Realize that whatever you are doing, you are doing it for Him. You will do amazing things when you are running your own race. He is cheering you on can you hear Him. Be an encourager. Be Bold. Inspire others to be all they can be through Him, fix your eyes on Him. There’s no need to compare your race to any other.
